Jane Austen Was Stylish
My dear friend Maggie could write a book about Jane Austen, a claim I’d love to be able to stake myself. But alas, what I know of Ms. Austen I’ve gleaned from reading her books (Emma is my favorite) and Wikipedia (somewhere in Sacramento, Maggie’s clucking her tongue in shame).
While I was surfing the Blogosphere earlier today, I stumbled across Fashion Is Poison. Aside from the fact that this girl has Shih Tzus, I love the Jane Austen quote she has posted on her blog:
“Pushing myself to appear to be perfect is unnecessary. I don’t have to have all the answers to solve other’s problems, and I don’t have to be constantly available for others. I just have to be real.”
Thank you, Ms. Austen, for the reminder that it’s ok to be perfectly imperfect!
