The Business of Will

This weekend, I will celebrate my first wedding anniversary.  Last night, Hubs and I listened to a sermon on marriage and discussed our first year of life together.  Something that the pastor said struck me as being applicable to more than just marriage:

“Staying married (in a relationship) is not about feeling, it is about will.”

I’m guessing that this quote resonates with anyone who’s ever tried to or succeeded at starting their own business.  Sometimes you just don’t feel like marketing yourself or blogging every day or meeting with that new client.   But in the end, you know that the small, willful choices you make to help your business succeed–no matter how much you may not have felt like it– will pay off.
